Ministry Leadership
The Ministry is led through political direction and professional public-service administration, working together to advance Government policy and institutional priorities.
Minister
The Minister for Environment, Science and Technology provides political leadership and strategic direction for the Ministry, with responsibility for advancing environmental sustainability, scientific development, technological innovation and the responsible management of Ghana’s natural resources.
Chief Director
The Chief Director is the bureaucratic and administrative head of the Ministry, responsible for its day-to-day administration and serving as the principal adviser to the Minister on sector policies and related matters. In accordance with the Civil Service Act, 1993 (PNDC Law 327), the Chief Director provides leadership and coordinates the implementation of the Ministry’s policies, programmes and objectives, working with the various Directorates and Units to ensure effective administration and service delivery.
