The Ministerial Advisory Board of the Ministry of Environment, Science and Technology undertook a familiarisation visit to the E-Waste Management Fund as part of its engagement with agencies under the Ministry.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the Board’s understanding of the Fund’s mandate, operations, achievements, ongoing initiatives and strategic priorities.
Discussions also considered challenges relating to financing, compliance, stakeholder coordination and public awareness.
The engagement provided an opportunity to identify measures to strengthen institutional coordination and improve the effectiveness and sustainability of electronic waste management interventions.
